For less than $10, these are really solid! No plastic anywhere. You’d think these are made in the USA!
Pros:
– comes with extra spring??
– wide opening jaws
– grips are STAMPED STEEL. They have a satin powder coated finish that gives a little bit of grip. Not soft, but very durable and easy to clean. I always wear gloves, so I love the steel grips
– robust construction – no plastic!
– nice smooth spring open mechanism
– very sharp. Cuts branches 3/4″ in one squeeze. Can do larger (~1 inch) by soeeuzing and circling repeatedly
Cons:
– locking hook is at the bottom on the grips. Takes two hands to open and close. No easy quick thumb movement like other shears.

This pruner works well even on smallish tree branches. It appears to be very solidly made, and I expect it to be a workhorse. The closure clip on the bottom is unlikely to go bad, and is fairly easy to use, and certainly much better than the sliding locks near the blades that most trimmers have. My only complaint is that the shears open much wider than is comfortable for my hands (medium/small woman) HOWEVER, after using it, I realize that the wider opening gives it much more versatility and ability to cut larger branches than it would otherwise have. So, I’m pleased overall, and would highly recommend.

Super great, there’s definitely better ones out there but for the prize they are totally worth it, i got these to cut some Eugenia bushes in my front lawn and they came out looking really good, they are definitely sharp and cut really well.

These are nice easy to handle and easy to grip. Cuts well, I like the latch at the end to keep them close when not in use. Also making it easy to store away.
