If you don’t mind learning with books, you can pass the MLO exam much cheaper by using this book. I passed my first try by reading through this book (and the O’Connor which I bought for more practice questions). This book however is the most thorough and up to date in my opinion and I would suggest taking and retaking both practice exams until you know all the questions by heart. The questions on the real exam are very similar to what you’ll find here!

I used this as one resource while studying for the National SAFE MLO test. I also used Compucram and found the two methods worked for me. I found it to be a helpful study guide and it contributed to my success passing the test on the first go with an 84. The information is based on the NMLS content outline and is organized accordingly. The practice exams were tough which I was grateful for. I would much rather over prepare than have a false sense of confidence going into the exam only to find the actual test to be much harder. Aside from a couple typos and the fact that some of the figures are not up to date, it was a great resource.

Bova Books has created a practical gem of a book for mortgage loan originators. Its 297 pages of clearly written, useful information every mortgage loan originator should know. The content of the book is presented in easy to read outline form. Another section contains 250 questions representative of the breakdown of the MLO exam’s content areas and are presented in a format similar to how the questions appear on the exam. The answers section also contains brief examples or explanations for the correct answer to each of the 250 items. The printed version contains plenty of white space to write your own notes. You can also order this book in pdf form. The MLO exam will contain mortgage math questions and the manual contains the formulae to calculate the correct answers. After taking the MLO 20 hour course, this book should serve as an excellent reference and study guide for the upcoming MLO exam. The 250 questions should sharpen the student’s understanding of the concepts and information previously learned in class. Whether you are trying to pass the MLO test for the first time or simply need a handy reference this book will help.

Just want to share that I got this book after I signed up with another online MLO test prep Exam review subscription. I just don’t want to depend on just one exam prep resource and wanted to make sure that I don’t miss on anything that the Online test prep subscription. Received the Book on time . After glancing through the book i realized that it was a good decision on my part to go for this book. I see this book offers a very good explanation of the problem and answers .In my opinion the practice tests are designed to be Tough which is a good thing so it prepares you well for the actual Test. This book is a Great resource for information for the NMLS MLO . The only think I have to get more used to is to go back and forth for the explanation for the answers provided since it is a physical book and not a digital book. Overall an excellent Resource for the MLO Exam Prep and highly recommend this to exam takers as a wonderful resource.

We all know that that the test is tough. So even though I took the classes and felt fairly confident, I still wanted something else to prepare for the exam. After doing some research, I found this book and I’m so glad I did.

The two exams in here reflected what I saw on the actual test – so no major curve balls (at least in my experience). The explanation of each answer was personally very helpful (if I got something wrong, I knew why, and could correct in time for the test).

The study guide breaking down each topic of the exam was useful too. Great reminders from what I may have missed or forgotten from class.
