Lenovo announced the launch in Brazil of two new Yoga line notebooks , the brand’s premium series, this Tuesday (14). The Yoga 9i and Yoga Slim 9i of the seventh generation have 12th generation Intel Core processors , Intel Evo seal and already leave the factory with Windows 11 installed. One difference between the 2021 and 2022 models is the design. Now notebooks have a rounded edge, which brings an even more differentiated look.
The Slim 9i version even has a 4K resolution OLED screen and Bowers & Wilkins sound, while the Yoga 9i notebook has a 2.8K display and Dolby Atmos certification . It is worth remembering that the 2021 Yoga Slim 9i won the Notebook of the Year category by popular vote for the TechTudo Best of the Year Award .

Notebooks are imported and have a standard ABNT keyboard. The Yoga Slim 9i starts at R$13,999 and is available at the end of July 2022, while the Yoga 9i starts at R$12,999 and should hit stores at the end of June this year. In 2021, the products arrived in Brazil at a higher price, starting at R$15,499. According to Lenovo ‘s product director , Luiz Sakuma, the variation in the dollar allowed the price to decrease for this launch.
The Yoga Slim 9i has a premium glass finish and touch screen options between 2.8K and 4K resolution, both with an OLED panel and 14 inches. Its datasheet also includes an Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU , 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM of the LPDDR5 type, in addition to 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage per SSD . The integrated GPU is the Intel Iris Xe .

The device has a Full HD quality webcam, dual microphones, which tend to improve voice capture, has three USB-C connections, in addition to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. It is also worth mentioning that the speaker system is from Bowers & Wilkins and the battery has 75 Wh, which should guarantee up to 12 hours of use, according to the manufacturer.

The Yoga 9i notebook is treated as a 2-in-1 convertible , that product that can also be used as a tablet , thanks to its ability to rotate the screen 360º. Unlike the other device, this one is not an OLED and has a resolution of WQHD+, however, it is also 14 inches in size.
One of the main differences from the slim model is the larger keyboard, with a row of shortcuts, such as reading fingerprints and for Zoom or Microsoft Teams . On the more compact model, this happens directly on the power button. Another point is that the Yoga 9i model comes with a touch pen, which gives more possibilities of use for the screen.

The notebook only has the Intel Core i7 processor as standard and its hardware specifications include 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal space per SSD. It also offers Intel Iris Xe GPU and the same battery configuration. Among its connections are Bluetooth 5.2 , Wi-Fi 6E, as well as three USB 3.2 ports and two Thunderbolt 4 inputs.
According to Lenovo ‘s product director , Luiz Sakuma, what makes a product more attractive than another is basically consumer preference, since, according to him, the performance of both is similar. “It depends a lot on day-to-day activities, if the person prefers a more differentiated design and if they want portability to take from one place to another”, he explains.
