You may already be familiar with it as a similar function from Google Maps: there, occupancy rates are visualized for shopping centers at specific times. Of course, Google has pretty good opportunities with data collection.

Now Deutsche Post also wants to score points with such a rush hour display. In addition to the possibility of searching for nearby postal contact points in the location finder, there is now also a “peak time display”. From now on, customers can use this page to see how busy post offices are at a certain time. Long waiting times should be avoided in this way.

The service works like a traffic light system: If the sign is green, a short waiting time can be expected, if the sign is red, the number of visitors is particularly high. The expected hourly visitor load is displayed. In this way, Deutsche Post DHL customers will be able to better plan their visit and avoid waiting times. The peak time display is regularly updated based on past experience.

” We are constantly working on improving the customer experience and making it easier for parcels to be received and shipped,” says Philipp Janßen, Team Leader Customer Experience Branch/Packstation at Deutsche Post DHL.
